Wild by nature!

The Wild Cider Co (formerly Barnes and Adams) was born in 2009 out of a desire to prevent unwanted apples going to waste and a passion to celebrate Gloucestershire’s traditional orchards and it’s rich cider making heritage.

We are wild about crafting cider and perry the way it has been made for centuries. Fruit is harvested and pressed in the autumn leaving the juice to slowly ferment throughout the winter by wild yeasts. The cider is then matured for many months before careful blending to balance and refine the finished product. This time honoured method results in flavours with true heritage and character. Cider as it used to taste!

The apples are harvested from a handful of traditional orchards found between the edge of the Cotswold Hills and the River Severn. Most have become a bit wild over the years but some are now being restored with a little pruning and replanting.
